Methyl Ethel 2023, led by Perth’s songwriter and producer Jake Webb, unveils their Australian tour. The ‘New & Old’ tour, spanning the final two months of the year, commences on November 30 at Eora / Sydney’s Metro Theatre. Following that, the tour includes stops in Meanjin / Brisbane, Naarm / Melbourne, Tarndanya / Adelaide, and Boorloo / Perth.

Webb will showcase two sets during the tour, the first featuring classic Methyl Ethel tracks with his new live band. The second introducing fresh material for the first time on the road.

Are You Haunted

Methyl Ethel 2023, recognized for their fourth album ‘Are You Haunted?’ released in February 2022, presents an art-rock journey. The deluxe edition brought new Methyl Ethel material earlier this year, including tracks ‘Kick And Scream,’ ‘Oh Toreador,’ and ‘Talk Louder.’ The album includes standout tracks like ‘Neon Cheap,’ ‘Something to Worry About,’ and the collaboration ‘Proof’ with Stella Donnelly.

Jake Webb reflects on the album, explaining, “There are these spirits, memories of our old selves, our younger selves, parents, generations past whose deeds, actions, successes and failures shape us.”

Deluxe Release
