English producer SBTRKT 2023 is making his highly anticipated comeback to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday, December 29. After an eight-year absence from Australian shores, the enigmatic artist is poised to set the iconic venue ablaze with an unforgettable performance.
Renowned for pioneering the framework of modern pop, SBTRKT shot to stardom in the early 2010s. His debut album, groundbreaking collaborations with artists like Sampha, Jessie Ware, and Little Dragon. As well as electrifying remixes of Radiohead, M.I.A, and Basement Jaxx, catapulted him to acclaim. His enigmatic live shows turned to a global sensation.
SBTRKT’s Remarkable Journey
This widespread recognition paved the way for the producer’s successful sophomore album, “Wonder Where We Land,” and his first independent record, “Save Yourself” in 2016. These releases featured collaborations with Caroline Polachek, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, and A$AP Ferg, further solidifying his place in the music world.
Earlier this year, SBTRKT broke his six-year hiatus with “The Rat Road,” offering an intimate glimpse into his artistic journey. This Enmore Theatre performance is his only non-festival date in the country. Shortly after, he’ll be ringing in the New Year at Heaps Good Festival Melbourne on Sunday, December 31. Then, concluding his Australian run with a final stop at Heaps Good Festival Adelaide on Tuesday, January 2.
